Ermou Street
Ermou Street is one of the best places for shopping in the capital. Walking trough the street is an exciting experience. You will probably find the atmosphere on the street more entertaining than the actual shops. You can buy almost everything from candles to jewellery here.
Monastriaki
Monastiraki is an old part of Athens, which nestles under the ancient Acropolis, and leads from The Plaka area directly beneath the ancient site. Monastiraki Square is the hub of life around here and you will be amazed by the variety and the quality of the many things sold in this busy market. The sounds effects of music and people, and the different smells is a part of the whole atmosphere.
Kolonaki
This is a sophisticated area where you will find the trendiest and most expensive boutiques of Athens. Why not sit down in a café and listen to conversations shifting from Greek to English to French.
Athenas Street
Athenas Street runs from the Monastiraki area to
Omonia Square. Market stalls in the area are selling
household items, clothes and accessories. There is also an excellent meat, fish, vegetable and
fruit market. The streets all around the main market
are filled with all kinds of food products, spices,
herbs and condiments.
